I never believed we lived in a simulation.
Then something happened at a café that I still cannot explain.
A woman walked in wearing a green coat, ordered coffee, dropped her keys, picked them up, and sat near the window.
Normal.
Five minutes later, the exact same woman walked in again.
Same green coat. Same coffee order. Same keys dropped in the same place. Same movement, same expression, same everything.
My friend saw it too. So did the barista.
The first woman was still sitting by the window when the second one entered.
For a few seconds, they existed in the same room.
Then the lights flickered.
When they came back, there was only one woman by the window. The second one was gone, and nobody else seemed to react.
The barista looked pale. My friend whispered, “Did reality just buffer?”
I laughed because I did not know what else to do.
But I never fully stopped thinking about it.
